Project Title: Globalization, Export-Oriented Employment for Women and Social Policy
On 27-28 October 2000, UNRISD held a workshop in Bangkok, Thailand. Discussions centred around several country case studies—China, Hungary, India, Mauritius, Mexico, the Republic of Korea and South Africa—as well as papers on wider related themes. The authors of the commissioned papers, joined by experts from the Asian region, discussed their research and suggested future directions for work within the UNRISD project on Globalization, Export-Oriented Employment and Social Policy.
